Can you mix RSP880-SE and RSP880-TR in a given 9000/9900 chassis?

Our lab no longer has redundant pairs of RSP880's as a RSP880-SE had to be moved to another location for a new lab.

We're trying to do some interoperability using A9K-8X100GE-TR.  A  single RSP880 will be rate limited so we need 2.  Are there any issues mixing SE and TR RSP880 for testing purposes?

Hi Balaji, thanks for the reply but I don't see anything in that link that states we can mix.  I read that you can mix "cards/modules".  I translate that as RSP880-SE can mix with 4X100GE-TR, for example.

i was in the impression it was -LT (i have closed look again  - you are right TRF i did not see any information).

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

Hi,

I really doubt that because the RSPs or RPs are replicating data between Active and Standby unit. The must be identical based on my knowledge.
