EoMPLS VLAN mode

Hi,

I have the scenario in the figure of the .pptx file attached.

I want to setup two pseudowires to transport Eth. tagged frames between CEs. I have an XR 12k platform with IOS XR 4.2.3. Here are the relevant configurations I made:

PE2-3

interface GigabitEthernet0/4/0/1

cdp

!

interface GigabitEthernet0/4/0/1.21 l2transport

dot1q vlan 21

!

interface GigabitEthernet0/4/0/1.22 l2transport

dot1q vlan 22

!

l2vpn

pw-class A21

  encapsulation mpls

   transport-mode vlan

   tag-rewrite ingress vlan 21

  !

!

pw-class A22

  encapsulation mpls

   transport-mode vlan

   tag-rewrite ingress vlan 22

  !

!

xconnect group PROVA

  p2p VLAN21

   interface GigabitEthernet0/4/0/1.21

   neighbor 192.168.0.13 pw-id 11

    pw-class A21

   !

  !

p2p VLAN12

   interface GigabitEthernet0/4/0/1.22

   neighbor 192.168.0.13 pw-id 12

    pw-class A22

As you can see from the "show" above, pseudowires stay up. Unfortunately ping from CEx to CEy do not work. For instance, if on CE1-1 I execute "ping 10.1.13.1", the ping does not work. What I found out is that the first Ethernet frame, which is an ARP request, arrives at PE2-3, but does not keep on going to CE2-1. Surely there is a problem with VLAN tags.

Does anybody have an idea on how to let things work ? The same setup with routers using IOS works fine.

Thanks  a lot in advance.

Tiziano
