GSR12410 - IOS to XR migration

Hi,

We have an old GSR12410 running IOS and we want to migrate it to XR. Target release is XR 4.2.4 which is already running in the network.

I have only found documentation to migrate IOS to XR3.8.0,

So my question is:

Is it possible to upgrade directly from IOS to XR4.2.4 using the same procedure, or do I need to upgrade IOS to XR 3.8.0 first and the upgrade from XR3.8.0 to XR 4.2.4?

Any suggestion?

I don't know the answer, but I like this bit:
