Hi,

Trying to poll the memory stats of IOS XRv mounted in vmware esxi 5.5, there is mismatch of the total memory polled by the NMS and the memory seen in CLI.

Actual memory allocated : 8G

Total Memory displayed in CLI: 8G

Total Memory displayed in any NMS: 4G

Thanks.

There might be some limitations for SNMP MIB support for the virtual platforms when it comes to extracting hardware specific data. In any case, its best if you upgrade to 6.0.1/IOS XRv 9000 for your testing/deployment. You can run it in ESXi 5.5 and the images are at the following location:
