Hello guys

I have a DC fabric with NCS 5508 DEVICES runing is is as IGP , when i see the routing table  i see the following output

i L1 10.190.116.0/32 [115/11] via 10.190.117.14, 8w2d, Bundle-Ether203 (!)
                     [115/10] via 10.190.117.10, 8w2d, Bundle-Ether103

I have equal cost path to that route but me question is what t does (!) mean , its only on some routes?

Thank you

it might be a backup route, do you have lfa configured?

@jonathan rendon  A ! indicates the Fast ReRoute backup path to that network from that particular device.

As you may know, a route entry won't have the ! on any of the paths, if all paths are ECMP.

The route over Bundle-Ether203 actually has a cost of 11 compared to Bundle-Ether103 that has a cost of 10, so this is not equal cost. Hence the (!) indicating that Bundle-Ether203 is a FRR backup path.
