N540X-6Z18G-SYS-A Smart Licencing for air-gapped devices.

Hi,

I recently installed a couple of N540X-6Z18G-SYS-A for our customer, which are totally air-gapped. Their Smart Account is enabled for Specific License Reservation but the router doesn't seem to support most of the commands needed to register the licences offline. Does anyone know if this model supports this? The 10G licences are about to go into a non-compliant state on the routers even though licences were purchased and sitting in customers Smart Account. I haven't been able to confirm what happens once it goes non-compliant but assuming the 10G interfaces are throttled to 1G. I've tried to pin down some concrete information on what process they should follow but for the NCS540 series it's a bit of a struggle. TAC is probably the only option, but thought I'd try on here first. Thanks in advance!

TAC gave me some steps - some worked but other commands didn't take. For anyone in same boat for this model and software this is the command syntax I used to get it working:

Enable Licence Reservation on router

RP/0/RP0/CPU0# configure
RP/0/RP0/CPU0(config)# license smart reservation
RP/0/RP0/CPU0(config)# commit

Generate the local reservation request code

RP/0/RP0/CPU0# license smart reservation request local

Copy the code into a text file.

In CSSM go to Virtual Account where licences are stored, and under the
Licence tab click "License Reservation"

Paste the request code and click Next.
Manually select the licences

(Example)

– Access Essentials SW Right-to-Use v1.0 per 10G (ESS-AC-10G-RTU-1): Quantity = 3
– Access Essentials SIA per 10G (ESS-AC-10G-SIA-3): Quantity = 3

Generate and download the authorisation file (eg. AuthorizationCode_SN_<serial#>.txt)

Transfer file to Harddisk: on router

Import the Auth file

RP/0/RP0/CPU0# license smart import /harddisk:/AuthorizationCode_SN_<serial#>.txt

Verify that licences are now compliant.

I'm looking for the specific process and commands to use to configure offline SLR on this particular model and code. Unfortunately I cannot find this information anywhere so I've raised a TAC for assistance. I'll update if TAC identify a working process.
