What type of functionality do you qualify as performance monitoring traps?
If that is ones from the SYSTEM-MIB, then the snmp-server traps system (and maybe also add keyword "snmp for the v2 mib traps), might be what you're after.
the system doesnt generate alerts when it is near pps rate of an NPU or something.
