RSP-4G and RSP-8G are not supported in XR release 6.1. Optimal release for these RSPs is 5.3.4. If you already have another chassis with RSP-4G or RSP-8G running 5.3.4, best to take this RSP that fails to boot and insert it as standby into that other chassis. The RSP will sync the installation from the active.

64-bit IOS XR is supported on Tomahawk generation line cards and RSP880/RP2.

Thanks a lot for your feedback Aleksandar.

Just to be sure,i start ASR with good RSP, when up and running,i add the second  one ( hot-plug ) in order to have standby ?  and wait for sync

thanks in advance

That's correct. If one RSP is fully up and running, the one you insert into the other RSP slot will sync fully with the active one.
