Hi,

Can anybody tell me the maximum number of vfr instances with full internet routing table an ASR 9006 can handle?

Thanks.

Hi,

Depends what HW is installed. Please do a show platform and paste it here.

Hi,

Aleksandar has already provided the answer. I will just paste a capture of BRKARC-2003 presentation from Cisco Live. You can find it everywhere. There is a lot of useful information about A9K architecture.

MOD80 is Typhoon (2nd Generation).

MOD200 and plus is Tomahawk.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, please see below.

hi Martin,

this scale aspect doesn't depend on the chassis type. The real scaling factor is how many routes can be programmed in HW. On Typhoon and Tomahawk LC in a system running 32-bit IOS XR, the limit is 4M IPv4 or 2M IPv6 routes. On Tomahawk LC in a system running 64-bit IOS XR, this limit is 10M IPv4 or 5M IPv6.

We support 8k VRFs. In a multidimensional test scenario emulating a production router we tested 4k VRFs.

Hope this helps,

/Aleksandar
