Last week, we released YDK-gen as open source along with YDK-Py. Currently, YDK-gen takes YANG models as input and produces a Python package that provides APIs (YDK-Py) mirroring the structure of the models. You can say YDK-Py version 0.3.0, which support XR 6.0.0 and OpenConfig models, is a child of YDK-gen :-) However, YDK-gen is more than that. It has been architected to generate APIs for any YANG model, plus it is extensible to generate APIs for other languages. We expect the choices of the language to grow over time. Contributions to the project are welcome. Give it a try and share your feedback.
