Hello,
Does anyone know any doco explaining what all the letters/numbers mean in Nexus Part IDs?
Example:
N9K-C93180YC-EX
N9K-C93108TC-EX
N9K-C93180LC-EX
N9K-C93180YC-FX
So what is T, L, Y, FX vs EX?

Hi,
The naming convention can be mostly found in this doc: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/nexus-9000-series-switches/white-paper-c11-739134.html#_Toc484532920
Following the naming conventions for the Cisco Nexus 9000 Series, the characters in the Cisco Nexus 9300-EX platform product names indicate supported port speeds or additional hardware capabilities: ● Q: Native 40-Gbps front-panel ports ● Y: Native 25-Gbps front-panel ports ● C: Native 100-Gbps front-panel ports ● L: Native 50-Gbps front-panel ports ● T: 100M, 1GT, and 10GT ● X (after the hyphen): Cisco NetFlow and data analytics capabilities
As for -EX and -FX in general, they are using different ASICs.

T/P/Y - done the PHY type (Copper, Optic and speed etc).
T = BaseT
P = SPF+
Y = Fiber ports
The last notation (E/EX/FX) designates the generation of switch (ASIC capability).
