Communication with CIMP Server (Cisco IM and Presence Server)

Hello there,

I would like to work with the CIMP server to receive and send messages.

What are the endpoints for this type of communication with the CIMP server?
The BOSH endpoint (BOSH URI) is well documented.

But are there any other endpoints/options for communicating with the CIMP server to exchange messages?

For messaging, the other - arguably main - interface is via the XMPP protocol.  This is covered in the "About the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) Interface" section of the developer guide; however, full details of XMPP itself is not extensively covered by the Cisco docs, with the understanding developers will refer to standards-based XMPP docs/tutorials/etc. for guidance...
