Cisco Modeling Labs. Installation issue, please help?

Some questions please:

1. Is it REQUIRED that CML is installed on a VM, or optional?

2. Must i install an OS on the VM, then install the CMP software, or do I install CML as the operating system?

3. from the above link...

"Preparing for Installation. Before you can start the installation, first download the software. Download the CML controller OVA and the refplat ISO files."

Below are my downloaded files. Are one of these files the OVA?

cml2_2.4.1-34_amd64-13
cml2_2.4.1-34_amd64-13.iso.signature
CML-IMG-REL-CCO_RELEASE.pem

- CML 2.5 you can install on bare metal now, also you can install as VM.

No CML its self has OS and install as VM - check above installation guide

If you installing as VM you need below files :

As I know cml need  vm, 

He can use vmware player (free edition )
