Recovering a Cisco 3172PQ

Hello,

I recently acquired a Cisco 3172PQ and ran the factory reset command so I could reinstall the OS. It was originally running 7 something and I have a 9.3.13 bin I want to put on it. The issue I am running into is from the loader prompt, running the dir command causes the device to freeze and attempting to download the 9.3.13 from my synology tftp server error out with the error "error: failed to download image." I usually work the Catalyst models so I am used to being able to just download the image off of a FAT32 USB drive. Any advice on how to get this switch back up and working?

what i suggest is you go back and install nexus 7.X and start upgrading to 9.3 with step approach.

Recommended path: 7.0(3)I7(7) → 7.0(3)I7(10) → 9.3(13)
