What is the difference between IOS 12 and 15 versions of the Catalyst

What is the difference between IOS 12 and 15 versions of the Catalyst 2960 and 3750 Series?

in the latest version, we have confirmed that IOS 12 version was last released.
however, based on numerical speculation, it seems that IOS 15 version is the higher version. Is that right?

ls IOS 15 version that lastest version? and i wonder what is the difference between 12 and 15?

2. check the feature differnces between IOS 12 and 15.

An additional question. Will there really be any problem with upgrading and downgrading the image between IOS 15 and IOS 12 between Catalyst 2960 and 3750 Series Switches?
