Cisco Jabber - Windows10 does not mute other sounds during calls.

Hi,

 

Has it happened to anyone before that Win10 just straight up refuses to mute other system sounds during calls? I like to listen to music while working (Youtube, Spotify, etc.). This always used to work.

 

Here's a step-by-step description of the problem:  

  • I'm listening to some song
  • I get a call which I proceed to answer
  • Sound lowers for a second or two while call acceptance (Is that the right word?) completes.
  • Sound goes back to being loud during call
  • I have to manually mute the player 
  • When the call ends, I hear the sound going down again for a second.
  • Then sound comes back up.

I have already gone into "Sounds->Communications" and set it to "Mute all other sounds". This does not seem to work.

If anyone has any experience with this issue, please let me know how to solve this.

Go to your sound settings on your computer, go to communications and check mark box "mute all sounds". It worked for me.
