Upgrading the Cisco CallManager from version 3.2 to 3.3 using the InstallShield Wizard ends abruptly when the INSTALL button is clicked and this error message is displayed:

InstallShield Wizard Complete - wizard was interrupted before CallManager

could be completly installed - system not modified

The Event Viewer Application log displays "Information Type Message" from "Source - MsiInstaller" (CCM INSTALLATION OP FAILED).

With this error, the wizard abruptly ends without completing the Cisco CallManager installation.


This is discussed in Cisco bug ID CSCdy17885. This occurs due to a wrong file name in the STI_DATA partition.

To resolve this issue, perform these steps:

  1. Find the file named stiRecover.flg within the root of STI_DATA partition.        
  2. Rename the file stiRecovery.flg.        
  3. Re-install the Cisco CallManager software.
