In CUCM:
Device > Add Phone > Cisco Unified Client Services Framework
Device Name could be anything.
Add the rest of the require configuration like Device Pool, SIP Profile, etc.
Add the DN for the CSF device.
Click on Add a new DN > Fill in the information > hit save
Go to the bottom of the DN configuration page. > Associate End Users.
Select the specific user then hit save.
User Management> End User > select the user > Controlled Devices box > Device Association > search for the specific CSF for this user > select and hit save.
Make sure that the end user and the CSF devive have the 'Allow Control of Device from CTI' option. And the user needs to have the appropriate roles (Standard CCM End Users, Standard CTI Enabled)
In CUPS:
Application > Cisco Jabber > Settings.
Make sure that you have a TFTP server configured.
Application > Cisco Jabber > CCMCIP Profile
Create one if you don't have it.
Add the Primary and secondary host (Call Manager)
Server Certificate Verifcation (Any Certificate)
Then add the users to the profile.

NOTE: The service "Cisco CallManager Cisco IP Phone Services" needs to be active in order to provide the Softphone service.
