Enhanced Compliance Reporting - A Development Journey

Alfonso Sandoval, Cesar Alves | Software Consulting Engineers, CX Lisbon

Abstract

Compliance reporting is an NSO utility for validating device configurations. However, it only works with simple device lists. Therefore, in order to expand the out-of-the-box functionality, a solution was created for rendering on-the-fly reports based on raw CLI inputs for complex device groupings. Now, coding a tailored service following quality practices is an art and a challenge. During this session, we will walk you through the development journey and lessons learned under the scope of a polished-to-the-bone, clean code mindset.
