C9800 - AP management tagging

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way to set a vlan tag for the ap management.

Usually, the AP management is untagged on the switch config, but in a particular case, i have to keep a vlan untagged on the switch port.

Well I have one WLC 9800 with VLAN 420 as management. In my 2960 I have normal trunk port allowing VLAN 420 a work as a charm

thanks for you answer. Can you share the 2960 port config ? How do you set the vlan tag on the 9800 config ? For me, the AP will always broadcast his capwap request in the untagged vlan configured on the switch...

I work with a virtual C9800, so the config I have to do is on the AP interface.

Well my configuration is a normal trunk port:

interface GigabitEthernet0/1
description CONEXION CON WLC 9800
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree portfast edge

My 9800 is an appliance.
