Hi,
I have bought a new phone and im trying to transfer Due accounts from old phone which i still have.
i tried your suggestions and in the old phone to back up with marked checkbox over " third party accounts backup" but it didnt work.
I wanted to try reset the password since i dont remember it at all - However toggling off and on the "" third party accounts backup" option didnt trigger the reset password popup and appears to be doing nothing.
so my questions are:
- how do i force reset the password? can i delete anything to make it work?
- where in the new phone do i enter the recovery password? i havent seen an option to do so anyway
what should i do?

Is this Android? We're rolling our a newer implementation for restore that doesn't require setting a password for third-party account backup.
On your old phone, after toggling the third-party option on, do you see that there was a successful instant restore backup made?
Then, on your new phone, with this newer restore implementation, the accounts get restored from Google account backup without needing password input (when backing up app data is enabled on the old phone and a backup was completed successfully).

Hi,
Both devices (old & new) are android.
Is this new implemtation already out? When it will be released?
Because I tried your suggestion again and it didnt work, all my accounts shown a tag with 'Account disabled'.
Here is a picture with the latest latest backup i did just now on my old phone.
I have verified i have the latest update of the app.

I have the exact same issue as @asaf. I have a Galaxy S22 and upgraded to a Galaxy S25, I have both phones with me, backup is turned on and "Automatically reconnect third-party accounts from cloud" is (and has been for 6+ months) enabled on my old phone. On my new phone, I logged in with the same account, scanned the QR code on my old phone, yet all of my 3rd-party accounts are locked! Why?!

I ran this thread by some of my friends on the mobile team last week. We'll update when there is something to share.
In the meantime you could log into your third-party accounts using the passcodes from your old phone and reconfigure your security settings in those apps to add your new phone (scanning the code from Duo Mobile on your new phone) as a workaround.

Hi all,
We have an update going out in our next release (4.83) to address this. This will start rolling out next week.
If you previously had Google Drive enabled for backups on your old phone, please disable+re-enable the third-party accounts toggle on your old device once you've updated to 4.83. This will allow you to reset the password used for third-party accounts. Once that's updated, you can restore these accounts with the new password on your new device.

Hi,
thanks for the information.
@DuoKristina since i have many third-party accounts it will be hard for me to do it.
Ill wait for the next release @jbruceduo to test this solution.
Thanks, lets keep this thread open until ill verify it works:)
