CUAC cannot connect to server CTI Error

We have a strange error happening once a week at the same time, users are calling in yet the CUAC does not see the call and from the callers perspective the call seems unanswered. When logging into to console the error cannot connect to server: CTI error appears, there are no errors showing on the server and the fault will resolve itself within approx 60 minutes if left to its own devices. Have diverted the incoming call to another number on the reception desk then tried to log in again and this appears to have resolved the issue but may just have been co-incidental. The schedule on the CUAC has all 7 days selected so it cant be this, anyone came across this before?
