Hi Guys,
I just got an 8865 IP Phone with the following firmware:
sip8845_65.11-2-1MPP-630.loads
Which looks like Multi Platform, meaning not for CUCM, but for Broadworks, Asterisk, etc (third party stuff).
There's no way i can register this phone into CUCM, i have tried with DHCP and manual config, but won't work.
Is there a way i can push standard CUCM phone firmware to this one here so i can register to my CUCM?
Thanks

Hi.
Currently there is no way to convert an MPP phone to an Enterprise phone. You will have to contact your vendor and get the phone replaced with the right part number.
You can consult "Table 4. Ordering Information" in the 8865 data sheet for the correct Product Number:
Thanks.

Cisco no longer allow conversion from 3PCC/MPP to Enterprise (and vice versa).
Talk to the vendor where the phone came from and ask them to swap it with one running Enterprise firmware.

You cannot, as per the below BUGID it is not allowed to upgrade form 3PCC to Enterprise for any phone model

Hi, sorry I may come across your question a bit late, in fact, there is a way to migrate your phone back to Enterprise firmware.
1- you need to make sure you are running the latest MPP firmware
2- get a license from TAC, and they will send you an email which should include a link for the transition firmware
3- upload that firmware and License file on your CUCM
4- upgrade your phone to the transition firmware, that is using the phone web admin page and specify the CUCM URL
" Example: http://x.x.x.x:6970/sip8845_65.TLexM2E-11-2-3C-12.loads "
5- after that, just upgrade the phone to the enterprise firmware which you have on your CUCM "example: HTTP:// 1.1.1.1:6970/sipxxxx.12-5-1SR1-4.loads" and here you will need to specify the license file as well " example: HTTP:// 1.1.1.1:6970/$MAU_M2E.lic"
6-after that, you can start phone registration on CUCM.
