We have been ordering VG 350's with a PVDM3-256 and VG310's with a PVDM3-64. We use VG350 primarily for Faxing, modems and analog phones. Are PVDM's a prerequisite to run Analog sets and faxing on VG350/VG310 ? Could we configure the pvdm3-256 on VG350 for conferencing and transcoding also ? If so will the dsp resources be pooled between voice, conferencing and transcoding ? The sh voice dsp group all on VG350 states that this DSP is reserved for special purpose. Would like to know if anyone else out there configured these VG350's for conferencing etc and if so how are the resources shared ?
I also referred the below link and i t states something about 15.4(3)M version requirement on VG310/VG320 but nothing specific about VG350.
