I am getting the following errors when trying to use one of my custom native actions. What am I doing wrong? I have added the .dll as a resource in my script as well.

Which version of CUAD and CUAE you are using ?

Is it at build/package stage, you see the error (so you have already
dropped your native action fro toolbox on the canvas and doing a
build/deploy).

I am using CUAD 2.5 BETA 2 and 2.5.0.7057 DEV. I have built the .cs
file with no errors. It only gives me a .dll file, but no .xml file if
that matters. I get the error when trying to build the application. I
haven't tried to deploy it yet.
Thanks

Tim:

For the xml file, you need to use the pgen.exe tool (in the framework
directory) to generate an XML API file which the designer can consume.
Once it's generated, copy it into the Framework\1.0\Packages directory
and restart the designer. After that, you should be able to left-click
on the toolbox and add the new actions and events.

For run time purposes, you would need to upload it to the web server.
Can do from web pages. However, for future reference please note that
mcp.exe tool is suggested especially if you have dlls that refer to
other dlls. Are you still seeing build errors though ? Have you
restarted the CUAD ?

Since you have traditional provider, mcp.exe would work (as would
loading directly from provider web page) and it is explained at
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/cuae-dev/message/1257

For etch plugins, you would use "cuae install" command.

Tim:

For run time purposes, you would need to upload it to the web server.
Can do from web pages. However, for future reference please note that
mcp.exe tool is suggested especially if you have dlls that refer to
other dlls. Are you still seeing build errors though ? Have you
restarted the CUAD ?

Thanks, I now have the xml file. I still get the error though about the
.dll file, do I need to upload this into the plugins under the web admin
pages?

For the xml file, you need to use the pgen.exe tool (in the framework
directory) to generate an XML API file which the designer can consume.
Once it's generated, copy it into the Framework\1.0\Packages directory
and restart the designer. After that, you should be able to left-click
on the toolbox and add the new actions and events.

I am using CUAD 2.5 BETA 2 and 2.5.0.7057 DEV. I have built the .cs
file with no errors. It only gives me a .dll file, but no .xml file if
that matters. I get the error when trying to build the application. I
haven't tried to deploy it yet.
Thanks

Which version of CUAD and CUAE you are using ?

Is it at build/package stage, you see the error (so you have already
dropped your native action fro toolbox on the canvas and doing a
build/deploy).
