Hi!
I'm trying to migrate ACS configuration using migration tool. ACS is 5.5, ISE is 2.3.
All configuration is migrated ok, except internal users. In migration.log I found these lines:
2017-11-14 15:43:13,742 [INFO] Thread-89 Start Exporting Users
2017-11-14 15:43:13,742 [INFO] Thread-89 Start getting Users PSOs from PI
2017-11-14 15:43:15,177 [ERROR] Thread-89 Error occurred while communicating to ACS 5.x. ; nested exception is:
org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 1; columnNumber: 1; Premature end of file.
2017-11-14 15:43:15,177 [ERROR] Thread-89 Users - The search response returned from PI is null.
2017-11-14 15:43:15,193 [INFO] Thread-89 # of Users PSOs returned from PI is: 0
2017-11-14 15:43:15,193 [INFO] Thread-89 Users objects written to the file Users
2017-11-14 15:43:15,193 [INFO] Thread-89 0 valid object(s) returned from ACS5 for : Users
Does anybody have any idea how to reslove it or does anybody had this problem?
Thank you and best regards,
Maja Kopcic

Hi!
Thank you. All names are correct.
I was thinking to open a case, but at the end I upgraded ACS form 5.5 to 5.8 and users were exported from ACS J

Unless you are able to share a copy of your ACS 5.5 backup here, it's best to engage Cisco TAC to troubleshoot. The log simply said it unable to get any internal users from ACS.

ACS 5.5 and ISE 2.3 has different name conventions. Please see my how to doc on ACS to ISE migration pg 19.
How to Migrate ACS 5.x to ISE 2.x
See if you can correct the names in ACS and reimport. The migration tool autocorrects the naming except for usernames/passwords that are unique to users.
Hope this helps.
