Hello Techies,
I am facing sudden p2p down issue where i have advertised all my ip pools between cisco ASR and juniper router.
Checking the log I found below logs
%IOSXE-5-PLATFORM: F0: cpp_cp: QFP:0.1 Thread:076 TS:00014740836682289247 %PUNT_INJECT-5-DROP_PUNT_CAUSE: punt cause policer drop packet cause 7
I am expecting this as known bug in OS.
Current version: 16.09.02 on cisco asr
Is there any solution to this??

I am getting a similar log entry on a ISR4331 running 16.12.05... I show the interface in question in the log message for me though
%PUNT_INJECT-5-DROP_PUNT_CAUSE: punt policer drops packets, cause: arp (0x7) from GigabitEthernet0/0/0.401
Not sure why arp is getting punted.. curious as to why

Hello,
hard to find anything on this...I wonder if the policer drops it. Can you post the output of:
#show platform hardware qfp active statistics drop
12-20-2022 03:49 AM
two reason :-
A- you have windows server that send ARP to all host and it hit the ASR
B- you connect to router that use interface instead of next-hop in static route, this lead to router send arp for all IP.
