Locating GeoLocation IP Package for Offline Download In 7.4.2 FMC

I have an FMC that has no Internet connectivity and I have to run Manual upload/updates on this device. Doing the GeoLocation update via file updates the GeoLocation, however the IP Package download shows it is non-existent.

Running geolocation update version:  Country Code: 2024-11-09-057, IP: None

Looking at the process for manual updates, it refers to downloading options for the GeoLocation package, then refers to the IP Package (assume that instruction is for direct download not manual), and the Import. It then indicates at the end that the IP package needs to be manually imported if using the manual method.

I understand this is a separate package as the GeoDB is very small but anyone have any idea where it is obtained from? It is not available in the Firepower Coverage and Content Updates section of the Software download area where the GeoDB file is pulled from.

Given it is a package related to Content Update I would have expected to have found it being downloadable somewhere in that area and being updated as necessary.

If there's no Internet connectivity, then why would you ever care about Geolocation data which gives you information about traffic to/from the Internet?

Hi Marvin,

The management platform is isolated from the Internet with the control plane to sensors isolated as well. However the data  networks that the sensors are attached to and observing traffic are reporting in to that isolated FMC. The analytics around the Internet based traffic with public IP's that the data networks are handling is what is stated in the documentation that would lead me to believe I would need to load in the IP package. This device was just updated from 6.6 to 7.4 where that IP package option appears which is why I have the question.
