I had the same error like you did, and had trouble fixing the issue. The main problem is the Internet connection for some reason. If you open terminal and run ping google.com you will see some error "Temporary failed" or what ever.
I managed to find 2 solutions (in case you have USB extender you can follow first one, if no, no need to buy, just try second option first):
1. Bought USB WiFi extender, cheapest one on market just to use it as external WiFi adapter. Then, press right click on the VM and chose settings, then chose "Network". Switch from "NAT" to "Bridget connection", then chose name of your WiFi extender, in my case it was TP-Link something, adapter type was Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop, and check the ""Cable Connected" box.
After that go to "USB" section, tick "Enable USB Controller" click that green plus sing on USB to add a new USB filter and chose WiFi extender Device. Start the VM under "Devices" left to Help in the bar above chose USB and click on the WiFi Extender name (TP Link in my case) it will be added to the VM, click on network, chose WiFi and log in to your WiFi network. It should work now.
2. Second option is without the USB WiFi Extender, but I was sure that it could work without it as well and I was pissed with constant networks change when I use USB extender (the cheapness might be the reason
Same story like above: Run settings with Right Click on VM, go to "Network" tab chose "Bridged Adapter" connection and chose name of your WiFi card (in my case it was Realtek Wireless Lan something something), Adapter type "Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop", tick "Cable Connected" box.
But now, go to "USB" settings then tick "Enable USB Controller" and add new USB Device Filters, in my case it was "Realtek Semiconductor Corp." and "Realtek Bluetooth Radio".
Now Start the VM, after the VM start's first go to "Devices", click on the USB click the name of WiFi cards in my case it was "Realtek Bluetooth Radio" and "Realtek Semiconductor Corp." if it say's "Can't attach USB devices" don't worry. Not Same place under "Devices" chose "Network" -> "Connect Network adapter", this will disconnect you, once it does, click again on that "Connect Network adapter" so it will connect you back on. In the VM, next to Volume button click on Network icon, and Wired Connection 1 and check if you are connected to that one. If you are you should be able to have internet now inside the VM.
Sorry for long explanation but I hope it will work on your end same as on mine.
