15454 10MEX-L1-C Equipment Mismatch in M12 chassis

Trying to install a 10MEX-L1-C card in a 15454 MSTP M12 running software 09.211-011-E251 load. I receive a Mismatch of Equipment and Attributes (MEA) alarm. I have tried deleting the card and re-provisioning with no luck.

The inventory lists the chassis as a 15454-SA-HD Part # 800-23890-01, FTA Part #800-23907-01, AIP Part #73-7665-01 and TCC2 Part # 800-24911-01 (both identical).

I have installed an identical 10MEX-L1-C card in a different node without any problem. It lists the chassis as a 15454-SA_HD-DDR Part # 800-25931-09, FTA Part #800-27558-02, AIP Part #73-7665-05 and TCC2P Part # 800-24766-09 (both identical). The same software load is in use.

I suspect some sort of compatability problem. Has anyone come across this before?

Thanks//Dave Julian

Hello Dave,

According to the provided information, it is possible that MEA alarm is raised due to Fan Tray Assembly of 15454-SA-HD= is incompatible with 15454-10MEX-L1-C= card, which is only compatible with exact 15454-CC-FTA= or 15454-FTA3= parts. FTA Part #800-23907-01 is corresponding to 15454-FTA3-T= which is not exactly the same as FTA3, and can cause such kind of alarms.

Could you let me know if this information is helpful in your troubleshooting, please?

With the best wishes,

Vitaly Lunyev

Thanks for the information Vitaly. I will see if we have an exact part number for the fan and try replacing it. It may take a few days to locate one but I will let you know what we find.
