Good Morning, my organization is switching an existing circuit to a new MPLS circuit. I've been searching the Internet for best practice for how long to keep old circuit active before decommissioning it while building confidence on the new MPLS circuit but I haven't found anything. Management would obviously like to minimize costs by decommissioning sooner rather than later. I've worked at different organizations that have operated new circuits with old circuits still active/available anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months before decommissioning. Would appreciate feedback on best practice for how long to flow data using new MPLS circuit while keeping the old circuit active in case the need arises to switch back. Thank you!
