In the last a few days, our cisco2924XL switch reported a couple of times that one of the ports was
down and up by itself with no reasons. The interval between down and up was one or two seconds. This port connects the file server and about twenty workstations. Could it be traffic overloading? But
If you look at the interface stats for the port, are there any errors?
Also, are the speed and duplex manually configured on both the switch and server, and do they match? ie: 100/full, 10/half, etc.
