Hi Ambrose and Nathan
Thanks for delivering such a valuable session. Please help to cover this remaining question from the live session

  • How can we troubleshoot when we have a mixed environment of Nexus and the peer is a Catalyst?

Hello,

The tools demonstrated in this talk are catalyst specific, and are for hardware fault isolation within that device itself.

For issues between Catalyst & Nexus such as Link up or CRC errors you can use what was presented to help isolate if this is a Catalyst or Nexus issue. If Nexus is suspect, then you will need to locate the similar commands/tools provided for Nexus platform. They will have the commands to check SFP light levels, etc on that device with maybe a different command to get the info.
