How to restore IOS

I tried to upgrade the IOS on my 2501 router. At the start of the upgrading, I received a warning that the file would be erased. After the upgrading was in effect for a while, the error message showed up: "...Error : memory requirements exceed available memory;..Software forced crash at 0x111E.."

This error messages are being displayed in a continious loop. Even when I shut down the router and turn it back on, I receive the above messages contunually. I can get to user mode.

Does any one have any suggestion as to how to restore the IOS/router?

Thanks.

I manges to console in using 4800 bits /sec.

1. The ethernet connection keeps going up and down continiously on the 4500 router. Any suggestions to trouble shoot?

2. The network consists of 2 x 2501 routers and the 4000 router. The two 2501 requires 9600 bits /sec, and the 4000 router requires 4800 bits persecond on the hyperterminal. Any suggestions on means to not have to configure one model on a session, shutting the session and starting another session to configure other model.

Hi,

ad 1. Try to check duplex/speed.

ad 2. It should be possible to set the console speed on the 4000 router via config registers.

Download the Confreg Calculator tool from http://www.boson.com/promo/utilities.htm

for easy confreg understanding.
