Is there any technical limit on how many vlans you can put on 1 hsrp group number ? We have like 65 vlans on one box 6500 msfc2 and want to put them all into hsrp group 1 , any reason why we can't do this ?
No reasons whatsoever, in fact you can't have more than 16 individual group ID's on the whole box. As long as you are not bridging between VLANs then there is no restriction on you using the same standby group number on all VLAN interfaces.
