I've ordered some long distance 2.5 Gig circuits (OC48) which I was going to run using POS as it's nice and simple for IP. I was going to terminate them on 7609's and push them out to the LANs on GIGE.
However I've now been asked to carry an older IGX based ATM service over the same links (155Meg). These are 'real' ATM and carry time sensitive voice etc.
I'd happily run the 2.5Gigs in ATM encapsulation but I've heard this is not possible (chipsets) ?
In a way I want to pick out an OC3 from the OC48 - but how ?
Maybe there's a software solution using ATOM, UTI etc ?
