Telnet session timeout

I connect to my office test router through telnet. To overcome session timeout problem I changed the absolute-timeout to 480 minutes, not realizing that it will disable telnet connectivity after 480 min. Now I can not connect to my router. I will appreciate if some one could explain how absolute-timeout works.

you probably need to use exec-timeout or session-timeout commands to achieve your requirement
