Hi!

is there a difference between VTP-Version2 and VTP-V2-Mode???

output of "show vtp status":

VTP Version : 2

Configuration Revision : 55

Maximum VLANs supported locally : 1005

Number of existing VLANs : 39

VTP Operating Mode : Server

VTP Domain Name : xy

VTP Pruning Mode : Enabled

VTP V2 Mode : Disabled

VTP Traps Generation : Disabled

MD5 digest : ....

VTP Version is No.2 and VTP V2 Mode is disabled?

What means that?

thanks for your help!

When vtp version 1 (or 2) is configured, it sets the version that will be active in that vtp domain. The configuration is reflected in 'show vtp status' in

the 'VTP V2 Mode' parameter.

The 'show vtp status' field is not user configurable. It reflects the highest version supported on that switch.

So from your output, VTP Version 2 is disabled and your switch is in VTP version 1.

Hope this helps
