SASD Login failures - local time error.

I have been having some issues with logging into SASD - "Failed to check version compatibility with VSOM server.  Invelid URI: The hostname could not parsed.Your local time (7/12/2017 2:56:11 PM) is out of range with the VSOM Server time (7/12/2017 2:56:11 PM).  Please adjust your local time to avoid unexpected behavior.

So - the two times listed in the error are the same.  This person is logging in using LDAP authentication.  Any ideas?  I have seen this in the past where a reboot seems to fix it but this staff member says they have rebooted multiple times.

That's a strange one.  Anything else in log files?  Server or Client side?  My own gut instinct; the error message almost reads like it's encountering some kind of exception that isn't explicitly caught (or properly relayed in an error message).  It's complaining about multiple issues in the same error message;

  • Version compatibility
  • Invalid URI / hostname parsing
  • Time mismatch (which appears to be incorrect itself)

Maybe check for additional logs both sides and see if you can get some more leads? :-S

Unfortunately I don't know the log file locations so I didn't know where to check, but I can certainly take a look at that.

I'm not sure how there would be version compatibility issues since SASD was downloaded from the server.

I'll see what I can find out from log files, though (if I can get a hold of the client computer, it is on another location).
