Cisco WAP 121 PoE does not work

Hello!

I have a question about the WAP 121 access point that supports PoE. The device works fine with a regular power adapter but it does not turn on if I connect it with a router and using a PoE injector in between.

Any idea what the issue might be? I am using an ethernet cat5e cable to connect the PoE injector with the Cisco access point.

I´d recommend you try to piower something else with this power injector. The way I see it, chances are it is the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I don't have another device to test the PoE but at least the lights of the PoE injector are working so that seems fine.

I am using this PoE injector:

https://www.wifishop.nl/ubiquiti-poe-injector-48v-24w-gigabit/pid=34590

In combination with this access point:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/wireless/wap121-wireless-n-access-point-single-point-setup/index.html

But the access point does not turn on when using the PoE injector.

Any suggestions what could be the problem?

Thanks
