I need to use an RV042G in a dual WAN mode with the second WAN as a backup. WAN 1 is connected to a cable provider and works fine. WAN 2 is connected through a Frontier (Netgear) DSL 7550 modem/router which does not support bridge mode, at least with the Frontier firmware. I have tried putting the RV042 in the DMZ on the Frontier 7550. When I disconnect WAN 1 the RV042 tries to fail over to WAN 2. It shows a status of connected but no traffic will pass through. I have the firewall turned off completely on the Frontier Modem, for what that is worth. Any help would be appreciated.
