I am using WAN 2 as a backup internet connection (connected to a GSM modem) for if and when the fiber connection fails. Duel WAN, load balance Smart Link Backup: Primary WAN 1.
What seems to be happening is WAN 1 disconnects about 10 times in a 24hr period and WAN 2 connects in its place. Duration could be minutes or an hour looking at the logs. Problem with this for me is that it is eating the balance on the gsm account.
I have tried Network Service Detection on WAN 1 enabled (various settings) or disabled, same problem.
The only way to prevent is to disable WAN 2 port. With it disabled there are no logs of WAN 1 down, from that I assume that there is not a problem with WAN 1 dropping the connection.
Is there some “design feature” of the RV325 that perhaps regularly checks if WAN 2 is OK by dropping WAN 1 to see WAN 2 connection? If so can I disable it?
