First, please forgive me, I am not a big networking guru and this is my first experience with this router.
My boss has a Sm Business VPN Router 4000 that is throttling his 200mbps charter download speed to 24mbps. For some reason I am not able to get the router to go any higher than that. If I plug directly into the modem and run a speedtest, I get around 194mbps. The second the router is plugged back in, it drops to 24mbps.
I thought maybe changing the bandwidth listed under max provided by ISP would fix it, but it didn't. Also tried changing the port speeds to 1000/full duplex.
I am in a rut and can't figure out why the router won't go any higher than 24mbps. I know it's for sure not Charter as I've verified by the modem directly. He also has a static IP address provided by the ISP. So not sure if this is making a difference or not?
