Security is of paramount importance in any network. You can achieved the desired security level on the Sx500 Series Stackable Switches in different ways. Security can be done per port basis, using the 802.1x protocol. Also, users can be authenticated in the network, this can be done via a TACACS+ or RADIUS server properly configured on the switch. Finally, data security can be achieved to ensure data such as passwords and encryption keys to properly be installed in different devices within the network. This document offers the different security configurations that can be done via Graphical User Interface (GUI) on the Sx500 Series Stackable Switches.
