To manually change the DNS servers that your Cisco WebEx Telepresence devices are using, you must set the IP assignment to static. Otherwise, you have to change the IP address on the DHCP server that services the WebEx Telepresence device.

Here are the instructions for changing the IP assignment to static mode and entering the DNS information.

Cisco TelePresence C series, EX series, MX series, SX series, and VX series devices

  1. From your computer, go to the IP address of the device: http://x.x.x.x.
  2. Log in with the user name admin.
  3. When you are prompted for a password, enter your password if you set one up. If you did not set up a password, simply press Enter.
  4. Click Advanced Configuration > Network 1.
  5. If the assignment is set to DHCP, change it to static.
  6. Click IPv4 and manually enter the address, subnet mask, and gateway.
  7. Click DNS > Server 1.
  8. Click Click to edit.
  9. Enter the DNS information and press OK.

Cisco IP Video Phone E20

  1. On the device, press .
  2. Select Menu > Advanced settings > IP settings > IP assignment.
  3. If the assignment is set to DHCP, change it to static.
  4. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway, and then press Enter.
  5. Select System configuration > Network 1 > DNS > Server 1 > Address.
  6. Enter the DNS information and press Save.
