I have a customer that appears we have several hundred duplicated devices after deploying collector.
The customer believes the new collection is not displaying the serial numbers because the serial number already exists from a previous collection. Is there a way for them to delete inventory records collected from old collection or flush out the duplicates?
It also appears that their discovery did not prefer the loop back address on their Cisco routers. The customer checked the enable loop back box in the discovery options, but it is still preferring to use a different IP.
Their final observation is that there is a discrepancy with the number of devices actually discovered for certain products. For example. They have 57 x 4221 Routers, but collector only discovered and collected 22. The customer also attempted discovering the loop back IP of every router, but their CSCP would indicate that the device has already been discovered.
