Also on the Portal i cant find the Upload Processing in the left navigation pane..

What is the appliance ID?

appliance ID: CSP0009029619

Thanks.

We do not have any record of this appliance ID communicating with Cisco.
The upload might be failing due to several factors, an obvious one would be that the required traffic is blocked in the network.
A few other factors could be that the collector has a faulty configuration.

To better troubleshoot, please share a screenshot of the error received as well as the upload logs.
Also, please indicate the full CSPC version that you are using.

Regards,
Cesar

We are running CSPC Base Collector 2.6
May you please assist with the port number that is used by the CSPC the need to be open on the firewall.
I have sent you screen shot privately

Below are the required ports and IPs required for uploading into the SNTC portal and for having the upgrade functionality on the collector

Please find attached screen shots and advice. Thank you in advace

Unfortunately, the screenshots did not help.

We would need to see the upload logs.

Regards.

Hello! where can i extract the upload logs.? We are still stuck and the firewall is not blocking anything because port 443 is open to ANY. Maybe i'm doing the whole uploading process incorrectly, please assist with the steps. I have discovered the devices, around 135 devices (even if its less than what we have), now how do i upload this managed devices to the portal and also where would see the upload logs.?

Thank  you

Hi there, you will need to enable the collectorlogin and root users for CLI access.
Documentation here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/cloud-systems-management/common-services-platform-collector-cspc/tsd-products-support-series-home.html

You then can extract the files as provided before:

/opt/ConcsoTgw/tail-end-gateway-decoupled/bin/nohup.out
/opt/ConcsoTgw/tail-end-gateway-decoupled/bin/CONN_TEG_LOGS/tail-end-gateway.log

An example here: https://it.engineering.illinois.edu/user-guides/engineering-workstation-services/how-do-i-transfer-files-between-my-linux-and-windows-ho

You may also look at other posts as this is a common request.

Hello

Thank you for your help, its been really informative. But yesterday i decided to rebuild the Collector from scratch then as a test  i discovered one of my 6500 core switch with a known ip. Then ran upload profile successfully. Now the UPLOAD_TO_BACKEND is SUCCESSFUL. I thought by now i would see something on the portal. I have also notice that i don't have Library/Administration/Upload Processing tab on my portal. The is NO Uploading processing tab.

I have also tried this command to check the logs /opt/cisco/ss/adminshell/applications/CSPC/data/commgr/logs

below is the result i got. i did under collectorlogin (Maybe its not in the right mode)

[collectorlogin@localhost ~]$ /opt/cisco/ss/adminshell/applications/CSPC/data/commgr/logs
-bash: /opt/cisco/ss/adminshell/applications/CSPC/data/commgr/logs: Permission denied

Is the a way i can log a TAC case and get someone to RM and help because its been a 3 months now trying to set up this sever and uploading data. Please urgently help.

Kindly check if your receiving data from appliance id CSP0009033594. Please find attached portal screen shot.

Thank you

Hi Thebe#57223,

Thank you for the detailed information. I actually looked into the upload data associated to the CSP# you provided and I can confirm that the uploads have been received and are currently in the processing pipeline. Unfortunately, the status of this is not reflected when a collection/Inventory submits its first upload so there will likely be an additional delay until you have verification on the SNTC portal itself.

After this initial upload, you should expect to see uploads received as well as their processing status.

In regards to accessing the log files on the CSPC itself, collectorlogin is effectively a username to gain CLI access to the collector but you will need to switch to the root user in order to execute commands. I believe this document outlines that process specifically:
