Multi-homed HBAs

Hello, folks. A little confused about Fibre Channel FLOGIs. Does a server that has 2 HBA ports, each one connected to a separate air-gapped SAN (SAN A and SAN B), log into each SAN fabric? How does that work? Does the server receive 2 FCIDs, one from each SAN?

Also, does the assigned FCID map to an HBA port, like an IP address is mapped and applied to an Ethernet NIC port? Every  tutorial out there that covers basic Fibre Channel FLOGI semantics always makes the general statement that a "device receives an FCID," and the only visuals given are of a server with 1 connection to 1 SAN, which is very uncommon.

Thank you in advance.

I know on the UCSM running in NPV (end host mode), that the flogi tables list a unique FC-id for each vHBA along with its own WWPN, so I would think that each physical HBA port, or if CNA, each virtual HBA, gets its own fcid.
