cisco SG300-28P gigabit PoE managed switch

Hi guys I'm having difficulty logging into a SG300-28P switch via the the serial console and Gui interface ,so I've reset the switch to default and still cant log in I'm using putty.

please id appreciate some help

The easiest way is to use a regular Ethernet cable connected to any port and browse to default IP address of 192.168.1.254 after reset.  Make sure nothing else is connected to switch except your laptop otherwise the switch will by default try to pull an IP address from DHCP.  Also ssh, https and maybe telnet are disabled by default so you would need to enable those via web GUI or console cable if you want to use them.
