Hi,

I have this issue on my network for some reason my network tester (fluke linkrunner at) is detecting the port of other switch even if I connecting to my other switch ports ( example: connecting over an stack of six cisco sge 2000 switches in port 6 of switch 6 and on my tester shows I am connecting to a prosafe switch on port 9/.) Sometimes happen the same and shows the sg500 port.

I suspect this cause a loop on my network  (we have some network issues) can you please guide me to have the right setting to uplink this switches together?

I already enable STP!

Thanks

What have you selected as your root bridge for the spanning tree topology?

Have you enabled Per Vlan Spanning tree?

Sounds to me your network tester is being flaky.
